Call for Applications:
WaseSe Scholars Program WaseSe Initiative (WSI) is now accepting applications for the 2017 WSI Scholars program. Applications are welcome from final-year Bachelors and Masters-level students pursuing studies in the critical areas of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM). The primary focus of the WSI scholars program is to facilitate admissions into doctoral programs in the United States. WaseSe Initiative serves as a bridge between the applicant and U.S. Graduate Schools by providing guidance, sponsorships and educational grant opportunities, mainly for the intellectually-gifted, less-privileged and disadvantaged youth in Benue State, Nigeria. The first stage of sponsorship includes providing GRE (graduate record exam) preparation/study materials and GRE exam fee waiver. The GRE is a standardized test that is required for entry into most graduate programs in the United States. In the second stage, scholars with satisfactory GRE test scores receive guidance with the graduate school application process and fee waivers for school applications. Being chosen as a WSI Scholar does not guarantee admission into a graduate program.
